About Isabel

I began painting in Brunswick, Maine, a small town not too far from the state's beautiful coastline.   In 1971, I married my husband and we moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland to start our family.  The scenery was remarkably different to where I grew up, but I found the area's quiet marshes and sandy beaches to be just as lovely as Maine's rocky shores.  Both places are very special to me, and they continue to inspire my work as an artist.  Since retiring in 2011, I have been very happy to devote more of my time to painting.
